Haul: Beauty.com

theBalm - Balm Girls Lipstick $17:

A few months ago I picked up theBalm's Balm Girls lipstick in Mia Billsbepaid and fell in love with both the color and formula. It's a perfect neutral for my skin tone (light/medium in the winter). I've been stopped 3 times when wearing this lipstick and asked what I had on my lips. As if the color alone wasn't enough to sell me, the formula is equally impressive. It's wonderfully moisturizing - on the lips if feels very much like, well... a balm. I'm about through with my current tube and decided to pick up two additional colors while ordering a replacement.

Here are swatches of the colors - starting from the left Anita Boytoy, Ima Goodkisser, Mai Billsbepaid.

tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Foundation $38:

I've heard wonderful things about tarte's Amazonian clay so I decided to check out their new 12 hour foundation. I typically prefer lighter formulas, this seems a bit thick for my tastes but I'll let you know how it goes.

Too Faced Poolside Face Kit $25:
Sold out

This was such a great deal, I couldn't pass it up. The Sun Bunny bronzer alone typically runs for $29. The bag, lipgloss, lip liner, face primer and mascara are a nice extra.

Haul: Lush

So I was running errands yesterday and decided to stop by my local Lush store to check out some of the items I've been stalking on their website.

Here's a shot of my haul:
I ended up passing on the Sexy Peel and Alkmaar soaps after sniffing them. Sexy Peel was a bit too lemony for my taste, it reminded me a bit of household cleaning products. I picked up Bohemian instead - it has a much lighter and less industrial lemon scent.

I was running low on bubble bars so I picked up a couple of macaroons. I also wanted to try the Dorothy bubble bar but it wasn't in stock.

Sympathy for the Skin and the Almond & Coconut smoothies are staples for me. I use both daily. I wasn't planning on picking up Handy Gurugu but I tried it on at the store and it left my hands feeling divine. Had to have it!

What's in my Shopping Cart: Lush

www.lushusa.com
When it comes to purchasing new beauty products, I have habit of loading up my online shopping cart and then taking a few days to mull it over before committing to the purchase. I thought it would be interesting to share what is currently in my cart. I'll post a review once I finally bite the bullet and buy this stuff.

Current Faves: March 2012

Givenchy - Hydra Sparkling Magic Lip & Cheek Balm in Peachy Glow:
$31 (Sephora)

Appropriately named magic lip and check balm, this sublimely light and moisturizing balm leaves my lips feeling soft and supple. While the color appears as a deep coral in the pot, on the lips/cheeks it transforms to compliment your skin tone. I love, Love, LOVE this stuff.

M-A-C  - Tendertone in Tread Gently:
$15 (Available in Department stores - purchase mine on March 10th at  Bloomingdales in NYC)

When the M-A-C SHOP/COOK Collection first launched I decided to pass on the Tendertones. They seemed a bit over-hyped and as mentioned above, I was already loving the Givenchy balm. Then last weekend I decided to swing by the M-A-C counter while at Bloomingdales. One sniff and I was sold. The light citrus cent is ah-mazing and it leaves the prettiest sheen on my lips.

Guerlain - Meteorites Cruel Gardenia - Illuminating Iridescent Powder:
Sold Out (Bloomingdales)

I bought this back in December while searching for a dupe of the Laura Mercier  Rose Illuminator. It's so beautiful I cringe whenever I run my brush across it - but the effect is worth it.

Illamasqua - Powder Blusher in Thrust:
$24 (Sephora)

My first Illamasqua blush - it looks scary in the pan but a light handed application results in a naturally flushed glow.

SensatioNail Invincible Gel Polish  Essentials Kit:
$47.99 (CVS)

This stuff really works - I took this photo on day 6 and it looks as good as new. I'm probably one of the most impatient people in the world and I always end up ruining my manicure before it has a chance to dry. This is perfect for me because it cures after a total of 2 minutes under the LED lamp.
